Herbs For Health With Kaaren Dunn

Saturday 18 May 10.30am-12noon. Free at the Kawerau District Library.

Join us for a workshop about how herbs can be used to keep you and your whanau healthy this winter.

Kaaren Dunn was a registered nurse and has had a lifelong interest in natural medicine, especially utilising the benefits known to come from using herbs. This has led in the past to establishing herb businesses on Waiheke Island and in Kawerau, as well as running herb courses on how to identify herbs and make your own herbal remedies. Kaaren is always keen to share her knowledge on the use of herbs to improve your health, so has agreed to take us through the benefits of using the herbs we have here in New Zealand, that help us fight, or reduce the effects of illness, colds and flu over winter. We'll even make a cup of tea and have other treats for you to try. Remember to bring a notebook and come prepared with an open mind to learn some new ways of using herbs from your own backyard to support your family's health.

You can book at the library - there is no cost. Get in quick as we are limiting numbers to 15.
