Infringements

Kawerau District Council has approved the introduction of an infringement regime for Parking, Warrants of Fitness and Registration as provided for in Land Transport (Road User) Rule 2004, and for Freedom Camping under its Freedom Camping bylaw (2019). This introduction would provide a consistent approach to dealing with offences across the regulatory spectrum.  This would also allow Council an opportunity to improve community convenience and safety.
