Greenwaste

The alternative to home composting is to put greenwaste into the large 240 litre greenwaste wheelie bin, which is collected fortnightly on the same day as your weekly waste and recycling collection, but on alternating weeks (i.e. every 2nd week).

To ensure your greenwaste is collected, do not load with soil/concrete/bricks or put any food waste or general rubbish contaminants in your bin.

Please ensure your Greenwaste bin is less than 80kgs in weight to be collected.

What can be disposed of in your Greenwaste bin?

• Lawn clippings
• Weeds
• Leaves (no flax)
• Old plants
• Soft prunings

Please do not put in:

• Bricks
• Soil
• General Waste/Rubbish
• Flax leaves 
• Heavy wood or treated timber
• Ashes from the fireplace
• Animal carcasses or bones
• Dog faeces or any other animal manure
• Bamboo, palm or cabbage trees or yucca plants
