Mobile traders include hawkers by definition and are subject to registration under the Kawerau District Council General Bylaw: Part 3 Trading in Public Places.

Mobile traders are licensed to operate within the Kawerau District and operate from a stall, caravan, cart, or similar structure. A hawker is a person who carries items for sale as they walk from door to door. 

These activities are required to be licensed annually. Please note that first-time applications should be accompanied by two recent character references. For further information please contact Council.
