This page outlines the Community Outcomes for Kawerau District. The Outcomes are included in the Council's Long Term Plan.
Community outcomes are the outcomes that a local authority aims to achieve in meeting the current and future needs of its residents for good quality local infrastructure, local public services, and performance of regulatory functions. In this context, ‘good quality’ means efficient, effective and appropriate to present and anticipated future circumstances.
As part of making this plan, Council conducted a process to identify the outcomes it aims to achieve for the people of Kawerau. Community outcomes answer the question, “Why are we here?”.
The new outcomes reflect the activities and the levels of service that Council delivers and plans to deliver, to promote the social, economic, environmental and cultural wellbeing of the Kawerau community.
