Initial Council Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Initial Council Meeting will be held on: 

    Thursday, 31 October 2019, in the Kawerau Concert Chamber starting at 9.00 am

The formalities will commence with a Pōwhiri, followed by the Swearing In of Mayor and Councillors, then morning tea.

Family, friends and members of the public are welcomed to attend the Pōwhiri and Swearing In Ceremony.

The remainder of the Meeting will reconvene in the Council Chamber, following morning tea.

All meetings of Council and its committees are open to the public except where the provisions of Section 48 of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 apply.
