Kawerau District Council Long Term Plan 2021-2031 Consultation Document
On Tuesday, 27 July 2021, the Council adopted the Long Term Plan 2021-2031. The Long Term Plan outlines the major projects for the district for the next 10 years.
The Long Term Plan 2021-2031 had three consultation topics which Council was seeking feedback on.
It follows a consultation period which generated 80 submissions, and a Hearing where 22 submitters spoke to the Council. The Council then deliberated on the submissions. Now that the Long Term Plan 2021-2031 has been adopted, Council will formally respond to all submitters, with the feedback, decisions, actions and further information as requested.
Given the support for the three consultation topics, Council chose to proceed with the preferred options.
As part of the consultation process, Council undertakes to continue consulation about topic three, the development of Stoneham Park (the old Soccer Club grounds). This consultation will continue and submitters and the general public will be invited to continue in the conversation about the best way to develop Stoneham Park (the old Soccer Club grounds).
